Sustainability Report

The Sustainability Report reflects the organization’s values and governance model, illustrating the connection between its strategies and its commitment to a sustainable global economy. An increasing number of companies and organizations seek to make their operations more sustainable and contribute to sustainable development. Sustainability reporting can help organizations measure and communicate their economic, environmental, social, and governance performance. Sustainability is the ability to remain viable for a long or indefinite time, based on performance in these four key areas. Systematic sustainability reporting aids organizations in measuring the impacts they create or experience, setting goals, and managing changes. In compliance with the provisions of the new Corporate Governance Guidelines approved on October 10, 2023, particularly Articles 39 and 40, Daroupakhsh Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company has undertaken the following actions in environmental, social, and economic perspectives:

Energy Consumption Report

Energy Saving Measures

• Converting high-consumption lights to energy-saving ones
• Managing high-consumption devices during peak electricity consumption times
• Deploying drives and inverters to control electricity consumption of electromotors
• Operating diesel generators during peak electricity hours to support the national power grid
• Utilization of light-sensitive sensors to turn off outdoor lighting during the day
• Implementation of drip irrigation for green areas to save water
• Recirculation of laboratory vacuum pump water to prevent daily wastage of up to 2,000 liters
• Optimization of steam sterilization piping, resulted in reducing approximately 120 meters of pipework
• Insulation of steam and condensate pipes
• Piping wastewater from syrup tank walls to irrigate green areas, saving 12,000 liters per hour
• Insulation of cool air ducts to production sites over a 250-meter length to prevent energy loss

Environmental Measures 

• Monitoring and regular assessment of effluent discharge from the company’s wastewater treatment plant and conducting an environmental pollutant analysis
• Continuous monitoring of gas emissions and dust discharge from production units to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and air quality standards
• Quarterly analysis of emissions from company boiler stacks to detect and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Systematic waste sort out across all company units
• Concluding pest control contracts for pest control
• Plan to color coding waste bags for waste sort out
• Environmental self-declaration plan
